Tea Collection – $100 Giveaway!

I am a bit high maintenance when it comes to my kid’s clothes – especially Ali’s.

I want her to look hip and modern, but still like a little girl.  I want her very modest and while I’m at it, I like her to feel comfortable.

That’s not too much to ask, is it?

I’ve been horribly disappointed with the selections for girls in some of my favorite stores this year.  It’s all, like, camo and screenprinting and camo tulle skirts and jeggings and camo sequined shirts and … not a single thing that I want to buy.

So I’ve been scouring the internet for clothing that meets all my criteria and is FOR THE LOVE not camo, and one brand that I really fell in love with is Tea Collection.

Their clothes manage to walk the fine line well between hip and still-a-little-girl – they’re not afraid to mix funky prints, all while keeping their cuts and lengths little girl appropriate.

I contacted them and told them how much I loved their clothes, and they offered to send me a few pieces to try out, as well as let me give one of you a $100 gift certificate to shop their collection!

I sent them a link to a picture of Ali and let them do the styling, and I LOVE what they chose for her.

Mine and Ali’s favorite outfit are these awesome cord cargo pants along with an adorable shirt that Ali insists has LILY PADS on it, not FLOWERS.

Geez, Mom.

The pants are super cute – they have the tiniest bit of a skinny leg (which looks oh-so-much better on her than on me), giving it that modern flair.

And the shirt – well, it’s awesome, whether you call it lily pads or flowers.

They were kind enough to send Noah some clothes as well, and they were just as cute –

His cargo pants are impeccably made, including a super-soft red cotton lining that gives them both warmth and style.

He agreed – they were the ideal clothes for lounging around with his big sister.

They also sent Ali this fabulous dress – although short-sleeved, it’s also lined thickly for fall.  I love that I can use it all year long, just adding a turtleneck during our very few months of cool weather.

Noah received a coordinating Henley that looked awesome with his eyes.

It was soft, thick, adorable, and durable enough to put up with big sister harassment.

All of their clothes are captivating and so comfortable– so much so that neither of my children protested their photo shoot.  Pretty awesome, if you ask me.

I feel so frustrated when I go shopping for my 10 yo daughter with all the so-called fashions & designs, not only do I want modesty, I want her to dress as a young girl without compromise, and still feel good about the way she looks. I do love the “lily pad” top, it is adorable on Ali & little brother is just too stinkin’ cute!

  8. I’d love to win a gift certificate!

    It was weird, but after years of DYING to have a little girl to dress, when I finally had one it seemed like all the cute clothes I had longed over were gone. Everything was pink and brown. I like pink and brown a lot, but… EVERYTHING was the same color scheme. The stores do seem to pick a theme and go with it.

  36. They both look so cute in their new clothes!! My older daughter just moved into size 6 (aka out of the toddler clothing section) and I am feeling the same way. Not ready to dress my little girl like a tween! Did you find any other great brands? Thanks for the giveaway!

I agree that their clothes are very good and I think that maybe if I had a girl I might care more, but with two boys and ton of hand-me-downs I can’t see spending $90 on one outfit they will outgrow in 6 months. Especially since the stuff I think is cute my kids tend to abhor:( Dressing my children has never managed to be a stylish event no matter what I do, so I’ve mostly given up and just try to make them look seasonally presentable. I will bookmark this site and come back to it when they get older.
    And because I like Tea.

  55. Since the majority of their clothes come from consignment sales, I’m not sure my kids are aware that clothes can be bought new. What a surprise this would be for them! :)

  58. My boys are reading your post over my shoulder. “Hey she is an A-wee, just like Aunt A-wee.” And, “Look at him, he’s just a little guy.” So, we are all in agreement, your kids are darling. And, my kids would love some cute, hip, non-camo fall clothes.

  90. How has no one else noticed the smock on the home page for Tea Collection? That cute little raglan-sleeve dress is just ruined by mid-section smock ;)

    1. I had to go see what you were talking about!! And I don’t consider that smock – that’s gathering. I actually have a lot of gathered things for Ali like that. Smock is when it’s gathered much tighter, then embroidered over the top of it. Not that I’m picky or anything ;)

  145. We have some Tea clothing and love every piece, I especially love the leggings for my 10 month old daughter, their clothes are high quality and last and last through lots of washings. I love how modern they feel without being overly trendy.

  199. My grandson needs some new pants, since he has managed to outgrow all of his, at least as far as length is concerned, and Tea Collection certainly has some nice ones.
