Noah James.

12/19/10, 3:43 pm

7 Pounds, 9 Ounces.

21.5 Inches

Happy and  handsome and I think he likes me a whole lot!

The birthing process was quite traumatic and left all my doctors scratching their heads as to what happened and why (I’ll write about it later),  but every moment since has been beautiful and perfectly ideal.  Noah has been a perfectly awesome baby – sleeping and eating and hardly crying… we’re quite in love.

Thanks for all of your prayers, encouragement, and well wishes!

Sorry the delivery wasn’t ideal! But it is such a blessing that you’re able to hold his sweet self in your arms and say it was all worth it!

  12. that is seriously one precious baby. Congratualtions and blessings on your new addition. I’ve never commented here before, but I’m a new follower from Tuscaloosa. Can’t believe you were tweeting while in labor- you really cracked me up! I’ll be praying for you as you transition into ‘Mommy of two”. We just had our 3rd a few months ago and I am still learning how to juggle them all.
    Love your blog.

  13. Rachel, he is beautiful! Congrats, and lots of well-wishes for a speedy recovery! We are just starting to get on sort of a schedule here. I hope Ali enjoys meeting her brother, I’m sure she will be an excellent big sister!

  14. Just SOOOOOOO beautiful! So happy for you all!!!

And ugghhh – I loathe epidurals. Due to my scoliosis, they never work! For Jackson, they had to do it a number of times. Agony. And even then only HALF of my body is numb, the other half — full on! For Olivia, same thing, only half of my body. #oneofthereasonsiamdone

  15. CONGRATULATIONS! What a handsome dude…that first photo is precious =) Just read the traumatic experience & am horrified and so sorry you had to go through that! Glad he’s healthy though and that you’re recovering. Love on that little guy {and Miss Ali too!} =)
