Ali scored a set of makeup, or as she calls it, “hakeup”, as a party favor at Amy Beth’s birthday party. And as I’ve mentioned several times, she already loved playing with (but not touching) my makeup, so this was a truly awe-inspiring moment for her.

And I do believe that she has just about applied every last bit of that hakeup to her face. And by face, I do mean ALL of her face.

Notice the big chunk in her left eyebrow:
Take note of her upper lip, chin, cheek, and eyebrow:
Her methods for putting it on:
And, in case you were wanting to borrow some tricks from her, she made an instructional video just for you:

  1. Too cute! Abbie used to do the same thing.

Hey, I tried to put your button on my blog and it didn’t work. I’m such a dork. Do you put it on text or picture when you add a gadget? Or, is that wrong completely?

And, how do you make a button. DId someone do it for you?

  2. I’m so glad she’s enjoying her make-up! Harris and I both were laughing at how many times she put her lipstick on, (and a dab on the eye for good measure.)

I’ll have to save this instructional video for Amy Beth when she gets into that stuff – probably about a year from now.

And just a suggestion…you might want to invest in a non-breakable mirror for her. After all, can YOU put your make-up on without looking in the mirror?

  3. That is too funny! Haven’t experienced that with my little girl, but know that is just right around the corner.

  4. I have had a hard day and that video made me laugh right out loud. I love it. She is going to be the girly girl I always wanted.
    Too cute for words. LYB

  6. That is too cute. I loved that she kept trying to put the lid on the lipstick and when would finally get it in the hole, she would take it right back out…

  7. I’m finally catching up on my reading.

That was so cute, watching her put on her “hake-up”. She concentrates well and gets really focused on the task at hand.
