Hi! Noah here.

IMG_2325

So.  Since I last blogged, everyone has been all over my case about eating healthy.  You know, organic and well-balanced and stuff.

Personally, I find this fairly offensive.

IMG_2327

I mean, if you can’t live without food guilt when you can count your age on one finger, when can you enjoy your life?

IMG_2342

And anyway, it’s not like I’m not trying.  I make significant efforts to help increase the fiber in my diet on a daily basis.

IMG_0588

(Toys are a form of fiber, right?)

But alas.  The onslaught goes on.  One thing I’ve been seeing come up a lot when I peek at The Servant Who Calls Herself Mommy’s Facebook feed is the horrors of breakfast cereal.

IMG_2336

So what if breakfast cereals have more sugar than a Twinkie – even the supposedly barfably bland ones like Special K??

IMG_2347

Whatever.

All I can think about when I hear the word cereal is … TAS–TY.

IMG_2349

But alas – the pressure got to me, so I traded in my favorite beverage to enjoy with cereal…

IMG_2338

For a more healthy alternative.

IMG_2195

Yes.  Coke Zero and Corn Pops – it goes together like Peas and Carrots – only healthier!!

IMG_2206

And anyway, I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

IMG_2201

What?  It’s good for you.  Duh.

IMG_2196

What’s that you said?? It’s going to rot my five teeth and poison my tiny liver???

IMG_2197

Oh.

IMG_2198

Well…

IMG_2199

I guess I need to resort to more drastic health measures.  I’ll demand a better alternative from The Servants and see what I get.

IMG_0646

Whoa.  You want me to eat …. what??

IMG_0657

Okay.  Okay.  It’s for my longevity and the opportunity to have nice looking man calves one day.  I can do this.

IMG_0652

IMG_0656

OhMyGoshOhMyGoshI’mGonnaDie.

IMG_0658

Maybe they won’t notice if I spit it out, set it back down, and spread it out…

IMG_0667

OKAY already.  I’ll try it one more time…

IMG_0671

IMG_0672

IMG_0675

No.  The puky feeling is still there.

IMG_0679

Come on back out, little broccoli…

IMG_0687

What?? I have to try it … again???

IMG_0690

Fine.  I’m divorcing you servants as soon as I can legally do so anyway.

IMG_0693

Watch me as I eat this bite with every bit of sarcasm and revulsion possible pouring out of my eyes…

IMG_0694

I just want you to know that you people are cruel.

IMG_0695

Waitta minute… that bite wasn’t half bad!!

IMG_0697

Let’s try another just to make sure you’re not playing some sort of cruel joke on me…

IMG_0698

What the…. ???  That one was good too!!  WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!?!?!

IMG_0699

MORE!!

IMG_0711

NOW!!!

IMG_0712

OR ELSE !!!

IMG_0713

What?? A kid’s allowed to change his mind, isn’t he?

IMG_0707

And anyway, broccoli shrapnel gives me a nice, manly beard.  Clearly, it’s a win-win.

  1. Such a cute post! I feel like I could insert my son’s picture in a lot of those. He used to gobble up veggies, and now he’s getting a little pickier. I find sprinkling a little cheese on that broccoli helps him gobble it right up. My son LOVES cheese.

    1. Noah’s one holdout food hatred is cheese! He won’t even eat Pizza, weird kid.

My kids go through picky and ravenous stages. For a while, they’ll eat everything. Then they’ll start eating nothing. Inconsistency is key, they say.

  2. How many teeth does he have? It looks like he doesn’t have a problem chewing it. Maggie has 6 teeth and I have been reluctant to give her broccoli. But, if Noah can do it, then maybe Maggie can.

    1. Noah has five, but he’s been gumming food since before he had any. I could NEVER get him to eat baby food, so my doctor suggested I just try the real stuff. Chewing he totally got! He was even eating chicken bites before he had teeth.

      Boys are weird.

  3. Great Noah pictures, as usual. Love those baby blues! I can’t believe you got him to eat brocolli! My kids won’t touch the stuff…or most vegetables for that matter. Grr. Maybe I’ll show them this post and tell them its what the cool kids are doing. :)

      1. Yeah. its being a boy thats the cause.
My toddler LOVED cheese for a month and everytime we were out of stock he wanted exactly that..
We got bigger and bigger packs of cheese cubes for him just to keep them ready when he wants. Suddenly after paying for the biggest cheese pack, he now stopped eating cheese. So now to make sure it does not go waste I have to finish it up. Same with bananas. Same with potatoes. Same with everything else.
Grrr. If after ten years I resemble a balloon, we’ll know who to blame.

Boys. And they say girls take time to decide.

  4. cute! my baby likes to have all his food with applesauce. i’m trying to break him of this habit. it’s either that or the bottle. and i’m not willing to fight the bottle war right now. good job baby noah.
