I always knew that mine and Chris’ eyes were a similar color, but it wasn’t until I took this picture that I realized that they were exact matches (or at least they were that day):

It is so fascinating to me that those two eyes can produce this:

  1. Nice post – Your little one is so cute (and she knows it)

I hope to be at the next blogger meet up.

    Have a great short week.

  2. It is amazing isn't it? My hubby and I both have brown eyes yet both our boys have bright blue eyes. Not sure where that came from!

  3. I can relate I have very little of the same traits as either of my parents. Apparently I look like my dad's mom. I get teases that I am a big recessive gene since I am blue eyed and left handed both of which are recessive.

  4. I have often wondered how my green eyes & my husbands dark brown eyes produced our daughters ocean blue eyes! We have yet to come up with an answer. Great post!

  5. Great pics! I have brown eyes and Jeremy has green eyes. We have yet to figure out how Jackson ended up with gorgeous baby blues…

I guess genetics really are a roll of the dice!

  6. ok, but now we want to see the mailman : )

my kids look nothing like their dad. I tell him his genes are weak.

  7. Wow, look at those curls – how gorgeous! And the eyes too. :)

I'm always amazed at the wonders of genetics – crazy, huh!

    Happy WW!

  8. Love this post, I think we were talking about this subject recently. It's so amazing the characteristics that our kids get that we show no trace of and the ones that they don't get that we were sure they would…the Lord works in mysterious ways!
